Nayanthara opposite Shah Rukh Khan
A surprising announcement about Shah Rukh Khan's next film with director Atlee has been made. Nayanthara will be playing the female lead in this action film. The south Indian actress has acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. This will be her debut in Hindi and it comes opposite the King Khan.
The Bengaluru-born Nayanthara has acted in 76 south Indian films so far, mostly in Malayalam and Tamil. She has acted in a handful of Telugu films and a sole Kannada film (Super).
Reports about the preparation for the film has been making news for some time. SRK's next release is Pathan which is complete. Tamil director Atlee was roped in to direct a film for SRK sometime ago. Atlee is known for his debut Raja Rani and the subsequent three back-to-back films with Vijay; Theri, Mersal and Bigil. Out of the four films he has directed so far, Atlee has cast Nayanthara in two of them.
