Pandemonium prevails in Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha over Pegasus
New Delhi: Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings adjourned following pandemonium prevailed over Pegasus snoopgate scandal.
The monsoon session is heading for a washout with combined opposition insisted for discussion and criticized that Modi government is avoiding debate over tapping of phones of politicians, judges, journalists, and social activists by using Pegasus spyware.
Opposition members shouted a slogan against the government for using Pegasus spyware against Indian citizens.
Meanwhile, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla condemned unrest in Parliament and requested the members to cooperate in conducting the business. Congress MP Manicka Tagore, among others given adjournment notice to discuss the Pegasus scandal.

The Public Accounts Committee is scheduled to meet today to be briefed on the GST Compensation Cess and Indirect Taxes, based on C&AG reports.
The Committee on Chemicals and Fertilizers is scheduled to meet today to consider and adopt its draft report on the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (Amendment) Bill, 2021.
