'Pushpa' coming for Christmas
It was something long speculated. On Tuesday, it was confirmed. Allu Arjun's Pushpa is releasing for Christmas this December. It has already been announced that the film is releasing in two parts.
The first part, Pushpa The Rise, will release this Christmas. Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna star in this gangster flick.
The film written and directed by Sukumar has music by Devi Sri Prasad. With an estimated budget of Rs 250 crore, this is one of the biggest films ever made. Shot in Telugu, the film will also be dubbed in Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. The film is said to be based on the smuggling of red sanders (Rakta Chandana) in Rayalseema.
The filmmakers have roped in an ensemble cast from across the south industries, including Jagapati Babu, Prakash Raj, Dhananjaya, and Sunil.

Sukumar and Allu Arjun last worked together in 2009 in Arya 2. Sukumar was all set to make a film with Mahesh Babu, but the project was dropped over creative differences between the two. The producer and Sukumar then started this project with Allu Arjun.
The film was originally planned to release on April 13 but due to the second wave of Covid had to be postponed. It was only in May that it was announced that there would be two parts to the film.
