Tokyo Olympics: Wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya wins Silver, loses against  Zaur Uguev

Tokyo: Wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya won the silver medal as he lost against Russian Zaur Uguev 4-7 in the men's freestyle 57 kg wrestling final at the Tokyo Olympics on Thursday.

Ravi Kumar tried his best to fight back into the bout, but Zaur Uguev struck a right balance between attack and defence and took the match away from the Indian. 

Zaur Uguev is the defending and two-time World Champion and the defending and four-time Russian National Champion. Uguev has also won a total of 14 medals in 15 international competitions, including 12 gold medals.

Ravi Kumar Dahiya defeated Nurislam Sanayev to win the thrilling semi-final bout. With Ravi Kumar's silver, India has bagged 5 medals in the Olympics so far. Neeraj Chopra, the women's hockey team and Golfer Aditi Ashok are medal hopefuls in the upcoming events.

In the 2012 London Olympics, Sushil Kumar had managed to get through to the final but failed to get the gold. 

Deepak Punia loses Bronze medal:

In another bout for the bronze medal, Deepak Punia lost to San Marino's Myles Amine in the Men's freestyle 86kg category. American David Morris Taylor outclassed Punia in the 86kg semifinal.
