Ukraine war: Indian student dies in heavy shelling at Kharkiv
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai spoke with Naveen's father after receiving the tragic news. Bommai said all efforts will be made to bring back Naveen's body to India.
In an unfortunate incident reported from war-hit Ukraine, an Indian medical student has lost his life in the shelling by Russian forces.
Naveen Shekhararappa Gyanagoudar, – a 4th-year MBBS student from Ranibennur, lost his life in Kharkiv city. The Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed the news to media.
Naveen had left for a nearby store to buy something. Later his friend got a call from a local official that he Naveen has died in the shelling.
