Ukrainian actor couple extends helping hands war to refugees

As Russia continues its invasion on Ukraine, numerous well-known faces have begun efforts to assist Ukraine refugees in whatever way they can.

Ashton Kutcher, a Ukrainian-born actor, and his wife, Mila Kunis, have started a fundraising to help the country.

The celebrity pair asked their followers to donate whatever they could to the war-torn country in an Instagram post.

To recall, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, two Hollywood celebrities, recently announced their efforts to assist Ukrainians in need.

They went to Twitter to pledge a $1 million match for Ukrainian refugees. Kutcher and Mila Kunis both shared a video on Instagram announcing to their fans that they had established a campaign to support Ukrainian refugees.

"I have always considered myself an American, a proud American," Mila, who was born in Ukraine, added. "I appreciate everything this country has done for me and my family, but I have never been prouder to be a Ukrainian." "We're gathering money to help a relief effort that will have an immediate impact and provide much-needed refugee and humanitarian supplies to the area," Ashton added.

"While we are watching the bravery of Ukrainians, we are also bearing witness to the unspeakable suffering of those who have chosen safety," Ashton Kutcher wrote in a video.

This fundraiser, through GoFundMe, will have a direct effect on refugee and humanitarian aid efforts. The donation will benefit Flexport.org and Airbnb.org, two organizations that are on the ground giving immediate assistance to individuals in need. Flexport.org is coordinating relief supply shipments to refugee camps in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and Moldova. Airbnb.org is a non-profit organization that provides free short-term lodging to refugees fleeing Ukraine. Standing with Ukraine entails assisting Ukrainians.
