Lucknow: Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Omprakash Rajbhar claimed he was attacked during the filing of nomination of party candidate Arvind Rajbhar from Varanasi's Shivpur constituency on Monday.
In 2017, Anil Rajbhar of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the seat by defeating Anand Mohan "Guddu Yadav" from Samajwadi Party with a margin of 54259 votes.
"Yogi Ji wants to get me killed. Goons of BJP & Yogi were sent there in black coats," Omprakash Rajbhar said.
He demanded the Election Commission of India to provide security to Omprakash Rajbhar and Arvind Rajbhar.

Rajbhar and alliance leaders have pledged to make Akhilesh Yadav the next CM of Uttar Pradesh. Rabhar's party will not contest in the 1st and 2nd phase of the polls.
Rajbhar’s SBSP had contested the 2017 Uttar Pradesh polls with the BJP and he was appointed as a Cabinet minister. However, he was expelled in 2019 after months of acrimony between the two parties.
To counter Rabhar, the BJP has rallied a host of leaders from the Rajbhar community after SBSP and the Samajwadi Party formed an alliance.
Also, the saffron party also inducted Rajbhar leaders from the SP and the SBSP in a bid to send out a message.
