Yogi took oath at stadium built by SP government: Akhilesh
Akhilesh Yadav, the former CM of UP and head of Samajwadi Party took jibe at the event stating that the function was held in the stadium which was built during his tenure as CM.
Lucknow: Though Yogi Adityanath along with his party colleagues took oath and formally formed the government, at the same time, the police over the swearing-in ceremony also started.

It may be noted that the grand event was held at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium which has a seating capacity of 50,000.
"Congratulations to the new government that they are taking oath in the stadium built by the Samajwadi Party. The oath should not be merely to form the government, but also to serve the people in a true sense," Yadav said in a Hindi tweet.
Akhilesh who resigned from the post of MP and decided to remain as legislator after his victory in the assembly polls, is said to be aimed at strengthening the party for the coming Lok Sabha polls in 2024.
After the victory, Yogi was chosen by the party members as the leader of the legislative party. He met the governor and claimed to form the government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and several Union Ministers were present at the grand ceremony in Lucknow's Ekana Stadium. Chief Ministers of the BJP ruled states and party leaders also attended the oath-taking ceremony.
This is for the second time in the row, Yogi has become CM of Uttar Pradesh. Interestingly, he fought elections in assembly polls for the first time. He contested from Gorakhpur and won.
The BJP won 255 seats in Uttar Pradesh with its allies in the state also registering impressive performance. The chief minister is expected to carry the momentum of the party's electoral victory to fulfill the poll promises and give a further push for the development of the state in his second term.
