F9 will release in theatres
Universal Pictures will be releasing Fast 9, aka F9, the latest in their Fast and Furious franchise of action films in theatres on August 19.
This will be the first big Hollywood film to get a theatrical release after the second wave of Covid pandemic in India.
Universal has officially confirmed the release in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.
However, the India release is not simultaneous with the rest of the world. The worldwide release happened in May and the US release on June 25 this year. India is one of the last countries where the theatrical release of the film is happening.

While theatres have reopened in most parts of India after the second wave, there have been no major film releases so far. F9 is expected to pull in crowds to the multiplexes. Universal is also releasing Nobody, an action film, this Friday (August 13).
