Operation Ganga: No visa required to leave Romania by special flights
Many stranded Indians took to the Ministry of External Affairs to raise the concern. Many requested the MEA to provide food as they were finding it difficult to get food.
New Delhi: Following several queries from Indian students evacuated from Ukraine and currently in a shelter in Romania, they started expressing concern that they may not be able to leave after some days due to visa requirements, but the Indian Embassy in Romania clarified that no visa is required to exit Romania by special flights.
Many stranded Indians took to the Ministry of External Affairs to raise the concern. Many requested the MEA to provide food as they were finding it difficult to get food.
The ninth flight of Operation Ganga, onboard 218 Indian nationals who are stuck in war-affected Ukraine, landed at Delhi airport on Tuesday. Under Operation Ganga, the Indian government is rescuing stranded Indian nationals from Ukraine.

Since Ukraine has shut its airspace following a conflict with Russia, India is rescuing its nationals by moving them to Ukraine’s neighbouring countries of Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, and Romania and then flying them out from there.
The Ministry of External Affairs has stated that India will fly at least 46 evacuation flights under Operation Ganga from the neighbouring countries of Ukraine. These flights are scheduled until March 8.
As many as 29 flights are planned from Bucharest, six from Rzeszow, 10 flights from Budapest and one from Kocise, said MEA. Under this operation, Indigo, Air India, Air India Express, and Spice Jet planes will be used to evacuate the Indian nationals.
