RRR to release in less than 100 days
Star director SS Rajamouli released a 108-second long glimpse into the making of his latest adventure, RRR, a short while ago. The film is billed as "India's Biggest Action Drama." It also has an official release date; October 13.
The film stars Telugu stars Jr.NTR and Ramcharan alongside Bollywood stars Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhat. Rajamouli had taken up this film after the two Bahubali films which rewrote the commercial cinema business in India. So much rides on this film which too comes with one of the biggest-ever budgets for an Indian film.
The scale and size of the film is evident in the making-video, which shows larger-than-life lavish sets and production standards on par with the best in the world. No expense has been spared to make the visual experience worthwhile. Rajamouli and RRR have now set the task of bringing back the audience to the theatres.
The movie screening was allowed for a few months in between the first and second waves of Corona. As other business activities have been unlocked across the country, it is hoped that film screenings will also being shortly. RRR has gone ahead to boldly announce the release date as well. Other big-budget films like the Hindi Suryavamshi and Kannada KGF 2 are likely to follow suit and announce their release dates now.
