Bengaluru: As many as 91 Karnataka students, including 28 from Bengaluru, studying medical science in Ukraine. Karnataka Government has appointed a nodal officer to facilitate the safe movement of stranded Indians in Ukraine to their respective destinations.
Karnataka Government has set up a free Helpline Centre to facilitate evacuation and the smooth homecoming of its people stranded in Ukraine.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has spoken to EAM S Jaishankar about the safe evacuation of students.
"Spoke to EAM S Jaishankar Ji and requested him to safely evacuate our students stranded in Ukraine. He reiterated that the situation is being monitored closely and assured of the safe evacuation of students".

The nodal officer will also oversee the functioning of the 24/7 helpline.
